Elkhart High School

The Lions had their best meet of the season placing 3rd at the NIC Girls Track & Field Championship. Placing for the Lions were Ja'leiiya Williams(2nd in the 100, 4th in the 200), Valeria Cruz - Portillo(7th in the 800, 6th in the 1600), Ashlyn Anderson (3rd in the 3200, 5th in the 1600), Elizabeth Higgins (8th in the 300 LH), the 4 x 100 was champions(Holt, Brown, Wesselhoft, and Williams), the 4 x 400 was 7th(E. Higgins, Dikes, Eash, and Johnson), the 4 x 800 was 3rd(Anderson, Grasty, Dibley, Cruz-Portillo), Shaniyah Hughes (1st in LJ and HJ), Ava Decker (1st in Discus), Braelinn Jellison(2nd in SP), Maddie Homo (4th in Discus, 5th in Shot Put), Kyla Albright (3rd in PV), and LIzie Quintano(5th in PV). The girls compete at Warsaw next Tuesday in Sectionals.
