The girls track & field team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 67-65 win over Concord on Tuesday night. The meet changed leads over the last 3 events on the track, as as Concord had taken a 65-62 lead after placing 1st and 2nd in the 3200, but Elkhart's 4 x 400 came through with 5 points in the last event to pull out the meet for the Lions. Winning events for the Lions last night were: Ja'leiiya Williams - 100 m dash - 12.97 Brendayah Dale - 200 m dash - 27.93 Brianna Canfield - 400 m dash - 1:04.41 Rosell Robles - 800 m run - 2:31.63 Brendayah, Aarionna Horton, Trenyce Harris, and Danica Barnes - 4 x 100 Relay - 51.52 Mya Curry, Aarionna Horton, Rosell Robles, and Brianna Canfield - 4 x 400 Relay - 4:31.26 Rylee Drummond - High Jump - 5'2" Madilyn Collins - Pole Vault - 8'6" Brynlee Jellison - Shot Put and Discus, 40'1.5" and 104'0.5", respectively The team does not compete over spring break, and will next host Riley on Wednesday, 4/16.
