The girls defeated Concord 40-34 in the first round of sectional play to advance to Friday night's game against #3 ranked Warsaw. The game will be played at Warsaw HS after the completion of the Goshen vs. Northridge game, which starts at 6 PM, so the Elkhart game will start at approximately 7:30 PM. After jumping out to an early lead against Concord, the Minutemen got hot from 3 point land and took a 22-18 lead before the Lions tied it a 22 just before halftime. Shaniyah Stout and Danica Barnes led the team in the 2nd half, finishing with 15 and 14 points, respectively to seal the win. The girls are now 13-10 on the year.
