The Lions clinched the NIC football championship with a 26-0 defeat of Marian Friday night. A 0-0 halftime tie turned on a 95 yard touchdown on 3rd and long on our first possession of the 2nd half. Marian drove right back down the field with a chance to tie the game before a huge interception at the goal line! The Lions had a huge punt of 60 yards on the next possession to reverse the field. After another defensive stop, the Lions scored touchdowns on 3 straight drives to clinch the game and the NIC championship. The Lions are 6-0 in the NIC and Penn is 5-1, but the Lions hold the head-to-head tiebreaker by virtue of our 7-3 victory over Penn. Congratulations Lions! We host Adams on Friday night at 7 PM. That is Senior Night for football and marching band.
