The Lions lost in the NIC championship game on Saturday in a shootout that went to sudden death. The game was tied 0-0 after regulation and 14 minutes of OT, Both teams made 4 out of 5 PK's in the 5 round shootout, so "sudden death" rules were incorporated. The Lions battled to the 2nd round of sudden death before falling just short of the NIC championship. Great effort boys. The Lions finish the regular season at 9-6-1 and will play Mishawaka in Sectional play on Monday at 7 PM.
