The gymnastics team scored an impressive 104.35 to finish 5th place at the IHSAA Regional at Huntington North on Saturday. Leading the way for the Lions were Mariyah Valentin, 12th in the vault, Regan Iannarelli, 14th in Bars and 9th in beam and 10th in All-Around, and Maya Betancourt, 9th in beam and 5th in Floor. By placing 5th in the Floor, Maya has qualified to competing in the Floor at state on Saturday at Ball State University. Regan was invited to be a "base" gymnast at the state meet for tactical scoring for the judges prior to the meet. This is a great honor for gymnasts just outside the state qualifying. Congratulations Maya and Regan!
