The Lions jumped out to a quick 19-0 lead and a 26-10 halftime lead. Defense took over in the 2nd half and the final score was 26-16 after St. Joe scored on a Hail Mary on the games final play. The Lions travel to School Field to play SB Adams next week. Connor Dow, Anthony Leonard, and Nathan Munson all scored for the Lions and Tumarye Morris had a big strip and fumble return to the 5 yard line to set up one of the scores. He and Max Huckleberry also had QB sacks. The turning point of the game when St. Joe had closed the score to 19-10 and fumbled at the Elkhart 2 yard line. The LIons then drove 98 yards for the final score of the game, late in the 2nd quarter, and the game was never closer than 16 points until the games final play.
